4 Items Included in your Personal Credit Report

Every credit reporting agency has a different way of producing the information on your personal credit report, but all the same information is categorized the same.

Identification.

It will include your name, address, social security number, date of birth, and any employment information, which are not used in the scoring of your report. Information on your report is updated upon what you supply to the lenders you use.

Credit Accounts.

Lenders are to report all accounts you have opened with their company. The type of account is given with any bankcards, auto loans, mortgages, etc. The date of when the account was opened, the limit of credit, the balance of your account, and your payment history are also listed on your credit report.

Inquiries.

Lenders are allowed to ask for your credit report when you apply for any type of loan. Inquiries from anyone, will show up on your report. It has a list of all the people who have inquired your personal credit report in the last two years. It will list voluntary and involuntary requests. Voluntary is when you allow an inquiry by requests for credit. Involuntary is when lenders access your report in order to pre-approve you for a credit offer by mail.

Public Records.

Credit report agencies are able to collect information from your public records from any state and county courts. They are also allowed to acquire any information about debt overdue from collection agencies. These records may include information about bankruptcies, foreclosures, wage attachments, suits, liens and judgments.
